Rev. Campbell’s sermon will deal with the need to oppose racial pessimism. The common assertion that systemic racism still exists , that white supremacy culture still exists, that we have made no progress since the days of segregation or even worse things are worse now than they were during the days of segregation. The purpose of the sermon is to show how we can combat this pessimism with pure facts using our own personal lives — living in a desegregated culture . He will also explain why we never achieved racial integration.
