1:00 – 1:30 Community Talent Showcase – A few of our friends will ‘show their stuff’

1:30pm – 2:30pm Dean Milano and John Benischek : This incredibly talented duo present the best of Americana Music as they explore classics of gospel, blues, rock and country songs. These guys will play the songs you love to hear, and play them superbly!

Dean Milano has been a stalwart of the Chicago music scene, having released 3 CDs and has also written the book The Chicago Music Scene 1960s and 1970s. Check out Dean Milano’s music Here.

John Benischek began his show biz career by appearing on the ABC radio show, “Don McNeill’s Breakfast Club” when he was just six years old. Since that time, John has performed at hundreds of nightclubs, coffee houses, colleges, festivals and made appearances on radio and television across the country. John was a quarter-finalist in the American Songwriting Contest, is an award-winning Toastmaster, and has appeared in many plays and musicals.

2:30 – 3:30 Ashley & Simpson: That’s Jennifer Ashley and Joel Simpson! This fabulous country folk duo are making a big splash in the folk community.
Their latest CD, Off to Here Land, has been getting considerable airplay on folk radio stations nationwide. They opened 2 seasons ago for Dave at Edgar’s Place. And by the way, you can hear them on Tuesday, July 16th on WDCB radio, 90.9 FM, streaming live at wdcb.org on the Folk Festival radio show from 8:30-9 PM. 3:30pm – 4:00pm The Three Wise Guys : Three long time friends who share a life long love of harmonies…Jim FrelsSteve Wing, and Gold Record Grammy nominated artist Dave Rudolf feature tight 3 part harmonies on songs by Crosby, stills, and Nash, The Everly Brothers, The Beatles, and more. They happen to be funny too. Always a crowd favorite whenever / wherever they perform with Dave.

4:00pm – 5:00pm Cheryl Rodey: Cheryl Rodey is a vocal powerhouse that will blow you away with a genuineness that can make anyone feel the love of music. Between her incredible vocals and passionate guitar playing, Cheryl is a bright rising star. Whether performing her own well crafted originals, or blowing the roof off with her version of well known tunes she’s an artist to keep an eye, and most definitely an ear on. 5:00pm – 6:00pm Blues Legend Jimmy Johnson: Jimmy Johnson is a true Blues legend. He’s been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame! He has played guitar and sang back up with Otis Clay and Denise LaSalle. In 1959, he began playing with bluesman Magic Sam and Freddie King, and gigged with Harmonica Slim Willis and others. Locally, Johnson is rated the equal of such acclaimed Chicago bluesman as Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Lonnie Brooks and Son Seals. In 1978 his name first garnered national attention as well as a Grammy nomination when alligator included four previously unreleased Johnson tracks on LIVING CHICAGO BLUES, Vol. 1.  https://jimmyjohnsonblues.com/mymusic

6:00pm – 7:00pm Dave Rudolf and Friends! Dave is a Gold Record, Grammy nominated artist,15 time College Entertainer of the Year nominee, who always puts on an awesome show, as many of you already know. Dave is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and musician who can pretty much do it all. And he does! His last CD release show (his 37th CD!) with Diana Laffey and friends was one of our most fun shows ever! He plays with only the best musicians to put on a fantastic, fun and eclectic show.
