“Guess Who’s Coming To Town?”

Rev Campbell will seek to involve as many folks as possible in the presentation of this program. His homily will make visible one of the repressed themes in Christian Christmas celebrations — the death of Rachel’s children. “Guess Who’s Coming to Town” refers to the song “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” but this time seeing him coming with two other persons, Herod and Jesus. I will seek to frame this sermon in the context of the racial justice issues generated by the 2020 election.
