Rainbow Café presents movie: “But I’m a Cheerleader” March 15th at UUCC. Doors open at approximately 6:30pm and the movie starts at 7pm. 

Megan considers herself to be a typical American girl. She excels in school and cheerleading, and has a handsome football playing boyfriend, even if she isn’t that crazy about him. So she’s stunned when her parents decide she’s gay and send her to True Directions, a boot camp meant to alter her sexual orientation. While there, Megan meets an unapologetic and unashamed teen lesbian, Graham. Though Megan still feels confused, she starts to have feelings for Graham.

Rainbow Cafe is a social event that provides a safe and welcoming environment for single or partnered gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender adults and their allies, by creating a space where they are able to socialize outside of the usual bars. The Café is open every 3rd Friday of the month.
