Many spiritual paths contain stories of gods who die and are born again, especially in earlier religions whose main form of worship centered on the cycles and seasons of the Earth.  We will look at some of these traditions, and explore what meaning this orientation to spirituality might have for our own lives.

There is so much more to loving one’s country than waving a flag and saying “My country right or wrong.” On this Fourth of July weekend, we will share and reflect on some of the protest and freedom affirming songs that have changed our own and other people’s lives for the better.

It’s a part of human nature to believe that there’s plenty of time for everything we want to do and everything we need to say.  Yet we often find that time has run out when we least expect it.  As much as is humanly possible, let us try to live leaving nothing for later.
