This is an invitation to all UUCC women to an upcoming event. We have invited women again from the Bridgeview Mosque to share fellowship with us over tea, coffee, and light snacks. This time we will be discussing ideas for ways to resist and protest the changes to immigration laws.

We have set the date for SATURDAY, APRIL 29th from 10:30 am to about 3:00 pm (which includes time for set-up & clean-up. We are in need for volunteers to help with the set-up and clean-up. Also, we also need homemade baked goods, both sweet and savory, for the event. (NO pork products, please!)

This will be the third time we at UUCC have met with these women and the second time we have hosted a tea here. These teas provide us an opportunity to dialogue for greater understanding between our cultures and beliefs. This becomes increasingly important, given the current political climate in our country.

We will also be hosting women from the “Resist & Organize Huddle” group from the South & Southwest Chicago Suburbs who are interested in entering into this dialogue with us.

If you are interested and would like to help, please contact Laurene Lambertino-Urquizo or Pat Segner to sign up. See you on April 29th!
