DESCRIPTION:April 2nd -  CANASS SUNDAY \n\nMembers and friends of UUCC ar
 e invited in April of each year to make a statement of their intended cont
 ribution to our budget for the fiscal year beginning in July.  In the ple
 dging process we discuss the role of the church in their lives and its nee
 d for financial support.\n\nThis year’s pledge drive begins on Canvass S
 unday on April 2.  During the potluck lunch hour members of the canvass t
 eam will meet with individual donors and invite them to sign a pledge card
 .  In the two weeks that follow\, the canvassers will reach out to folks 
 not yet contacted to discuss their pledging.\n\nThis process works well bu
 t not perfectly.  Perhaps by mid April a canvasser has not yet been in co
 ntact with you.  If so\, I invite you to contact me by phone on in person
 .  We will discuss the church\, your needs\, and its needs.\n\nSincerely\
