The UUCC has many opportunities available to enhance your life. The following activities are free of charge unless otherwise noted.
- Forum
The “adult forum” isn’t technically restricted to adults, its just that kids get bored listing to adults talk about spiritual stuff, art, current events, the environment, technology, other religions, and this, and that, and the other thing.The “Forum” meets at 12:00 every Sunday, after service unless otherwise noted (Check the events section of this page.) It is about something different every time, except for 2nd Tuesdays. - “Care of the Earth” Forum
The second Sunday of every month is reserved for the topic, “Care of the Earth.” It is about the environment on our planet: How to heal it and preserve it. Action that you can take to help.Bring your questions, comments, and observations. Feel free to submit suggestions for topics. Would you like to make a presentation? - Wednesday Morning Covenant Group
We invite new conversation and socializing after the group. We meet on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays each month from 10 am to Noon. Bring a bag lunch for sharing and conversation. - Meditation
Meditation in the Buddhist Vipassana tradition, also called Insight Meditation, meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm in the Gathering Room. It’s a drop-in group; come when you can. Sit on chairs, couches, or bring your own sitting equipment. Free to all. A brief introduction to Insight Meditation will be provided if desired. - Friday Evening Covenant Group
We invite everyone to join us for sharing and discussion on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month from 7-9 pm. During the first hour we go around our circle, each having the opportunity to talk about what is happening in our lives. The second hour we discuss a topic chosen by our group. Come join us! - Dances of Universal Peace
“Dances of Universal Peace” are circular meditative dances. Simple steps, to the mantras of all the world religions. Held at our church on the 3rd or 4th Sunday evening of each month, from 4-6 pm.

A social event that provides a safe and welcoming environment for single or partnered gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender adults and their allies, by creating a space where they are able to socialize outside of the usual bars. Usually takes place on the fourth Saturday of the month at 7 pm. We watch a film about current, relevant social issues, followed by discussion and light snacks. Open to all.This Month’s Movie:

“American Dream, American Nightmare”
This A&E Investigative Report explores the rapid growth and disturbing violence that has marked the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Immigrants who have gone through the system tell their sad and sometimes terrifying stories.
(This movie is tentatively scheduled. Please call the church during business hours, or check the website for updates. - Drum Circle
Enjoy the soothing, therapeutic effect of our open drum circle. Reconnect with the Pulse of the Universe! The circle is “zero level,” requiring no experience. Please bring a drum if you have one, also a small selection of community drums will be available. The circle is held the third Friday of each month from 7-9 pm. A $5-10 donation is requested. “A Moment in Balance,” Karen Nielsen leads Yoga classes Monday and Thursday mornings 9:30 – 11am and on Wednesday evenings 7:30 – 9 pm. No reservations needed.
